Though I’m begrudgingly grateful for a detailed review, the latter blogger takes issue with my descriptive writing which made me spit fire. I don’t think anything scolds a writer more than that kind of criticism. It left me wondering why many reviewers assume the mantle of academics (when they’re not) and attack the actual writing. Particularly as she completely misses the point about the way the book was written in particular sections to affect an exhausted, semi-delirious and surreal point of view. Humbug. Tonight, I may wake the grubby-faced clown puppet and send him to pay a visit … so he can represent my side of things.
Kross by name, cross by nature…
