Horror cult films review books too, and have given N.O.G.O.A the horns the right way up – “Bleak, grimy, harrowing and frightening, this is horror at its most raw”. They think it should be age certified, though, which is a first for me …
And while the amps are still plugged in, to get the characters up and dancing in NO ONE GETS OUT ALIVE, I initially imagined them in a play, and on a stage with very limited, claustrophobic sets. I’ve not tried this approach before, but I wanted body language and speech alone to make the scenes live ( at least inside my disorderly head). So I’m very chuffed with this review which appreciates how many hours were put into the characters!
