LAST DAYS WINS THE AUGUST DERLETH AWARD FOR BEST HORROR NOVEL 2012

I am immensely grateful, yet again, to the membership of the BFS for voting one of my books onto the shortlist.

Quite fitting for the Machen@150 theme of WFC, is that even the actual award shines with an inmost light. Though I am left wondering which poor wretch had their soul imprisoned inside the crystal (and their brain altered to that of a devil). Still, I can’t free their soul or the award will crumble to black dust and I’ll have no bling on the mantel. Anyway, here is the award, photographed shortly before it was placed on the shrine of the black goat to glimmer with unearthly light beside my other curiosities …
